The LIHEAP Block Grant Plan is completed each fiscal year, which outlines how grantees will operate Energy programs. The Administration of Children and Families (ACF) requires that states seek public participation for the LIHEAP Plan each year. The Division will post the FFY 2024-2025 plan for public comment on August 23, 2024. North Carolina was monitored last year by our Federal Partners and the Division have made changes to the plan to be within compliance.
The Division is requesting that each county post the link below to the NC Division of Social Services webpage on their county websites from August 19-23, 2024. This allows the public to view the 2025 LIHEAP Block Grant Plan and submit comments. A public hearing will be held August 23, 2024, from 10:30 am- 11:30 am to discuss the plan live and to address any questions, comments, or concerns. For anyone who would like to attend, please use the webinar link below. All comments will be submitted to Jasmyne Simmons at Jasmyne.Simmons@dhhs.nc.gov no later than 5pm on August 23, 2024.
