Local law enforcement agencies believe the foundation for a safer community is knowing your neighbors and surroundings. National Night Out (NNO) is an effort to strengthen the relationship between citizens and law enforcement. The event, always on the first Tuesday in August, has been held annually nationwide since 1984. This year the National Night Out will be observed on Aug. 6.
Area law enforcement, emergency services/first responders, and fire departments will be participating in a community-wide NNO in Asheboro and another in Archdale. Bring a chair if you want to hang out for a bit and enjoy music, food, and fun.
The Randolph – Asheboro YMCA is the host for the FREE event for Randolph County citizens. Free hot dogs, chips, drinks, doughnuts, etc., and the splash pad will be open for the kids.
The Archdale NNO will be at Bonnie Place, Archdale.
