On April 27, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Bethel Dr. in High Point, in reference to a Vehicle Theft from a storage lot of Piedmont Recovery. During the investigation, it was determined that the registered owner of the vehicle, James Palmer Meadows, was able to track the location of the vehicle, access the storage lot and take possession of the vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and identified Meadows as the driver. Meadows was arrested for larceny of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine was located. Meadows was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of Felony Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Felony Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Felony Possession of Methamphetamine. He was issued a $20,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for April 28, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
