To provide courteous, timely and accurate inspections of permitted work to ensure compliance with the North Carolina State Building Codes and Randolph County's Unified Development Ordinance.
The Inspections service area is responsible for providing inspections on new and existing buildings and equipment to ensure compliance with the North Carolina State Building Codes and Randolph County's Unified Development Ordinance. Documenting results, maintaining records and reports in accordance with State Law and providing a continued resource for the general public pertaining to state building code issues. There are a total of 6 full-time Inspectors in the county's jurisdiction. Two of these inspect building and insulation, two inspect plumbing and mechanical and two inspect electrical work. Additional inspections are made by the Plan Reviewer and Director as required.
